Hanging by a Thread: A Prayer for Healing

“Pulling on a thread can bring frayed edges together or it can cause things to fall apart. Along the tears of the photo, I have placed quotes from fellow Americans and patriots that highlight the best attributes of our country. Key words, or threads, have been ripped out and attached by threads with the intent to have the viewer pause and reflect on the threads that bind our nation and how we pull on them. I have used the concept of kintsugi and gold paint to represent the heart and soul of our country and the hope for healing.
