Quiquia Calhoun

Quiquia Calhoun is an established artist and designer residing in Oklahoma City. Her ready-to-wear collection is the marriage of her two life-long loves: art and fashion. Quiquia earned a Bachelors in Art and Education from Oklahoma City University and a Masters in Clothing and Textiles from the University of Oklahoma. During the Masters program at OU, she studied abroad in Europe, gaining expertise in fashion couture from England, France, Italy, and Switzerland. Over the decades, she has produced and participated in numerous fashion shows, and has enjoyed a fruitful career in teaching AP Studio Art with Oklahoma City Public Schools and summer institutes with the University of Tulsa. Quiquia currently serves on the College Board as a consultant, teaches Visual Art for OKCPS, and designs custom bridal gowns and special occasion wear for D’Plazzo Couture Gowns. She creates her one of a kind hand painted silk pieces in her studio in the Paseo Plunge.
