Mark Rhodes
Mark Rhodes has lived in Oklahoma City his entire life. Rhodes is very passionate about crocheting and has garnered a lot of experience in making baby blankets, hot pads, scarves, and beanies for friends and customers. He also creates sewing projects, garden decorations, jewelry, and macrame. Rhodes’ mottos are love, kindness, inclusion, expression and freedom.
Rhodes is learning the art of Amigurumi which is a Japanese art of creating crocheted or knitted stuffed toys or characters. The word "amigurumi" itself is a combination of two Japanese words: "ami" (編み) meaning "crocheted or knitted" and "gurumi" (包み) meaning "wrapped" or "stuffed". Rhodes enjoys putting his own spin on patterns and colors and yarn types to make his creations different, fun, funky, abstract and whimsical. The Paseo is his favorite place in Oklahoma City.
