Chrishelle Baker

Chrischelle Baker is a Choctaw artist who skillfully merges her love for turtles with Choctaw traditions in her beadwork and brand. Her work honors the Choctaw culture through traditional regalia and applying this knowledge to modern creations, such as her signature Luksi (turtle) earrings.

Through these practices, she beautifully demonstrates the ability to engage with tradition without losing its identity in modern compositions, enhancing Native representation in various contexts.Chrischellehas completed commissions for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the Museum of Native American History in Arkansas and personal full Choctaw beadwork sets. She is a registered Choctaw artist and a 2024 Annual Choctaw Art Show 1st place winner.
