GALLERY I - Lush Delish - Bianca Roland

Lush Delish is a feral biosphere of color, texture and intuitive abundance created by Bianca Roland. Roland is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Oklahoma City and is known for her layered, mixed media artworks made with second-hand materials such as clay, perm rods and miniature shoes. In Lush Delish, these pieces are intended to flicker at the edge of dreamlike, psychedelic terrains built from beads, buttons, thread, glitter and glue. The result is a collection of tactile compositions that are meant to be enjoyed. They illustrate maximalist environments that show decorating is a way of life.

Work may be purchased in person or over the phone! (405)525-2688

GALLERY II - Paseo PhotoFest

Every August, the students of the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain display their finished projects at the Paseo Arts and Creativity Center. The exhibit, entitled Tour de Quartz, showcases the works of the students in the Painting and Photography disciplines. Students in the Photography class embraced experimentation and creative risk-taking, exploring both historic and modern image-making techniques. From working with 19th-century processes like tintypes and film developing to using digital tools and hybrid workflows, they pushed beyond their comfort zones. Students in the Painting class created a vibrant collection of paintings and drawings during an intensive two-week artistic journey at Quartz Mountain. Inspired by new landscapes, people, materials and techniques, each student produced unique works that reflect both personal vision and collective exploration.

GALLERY III

Umbrella Etiquette and Other Correspondences - David Eric Morrison

Umbrella Etiquette and Other Correspondences is a body of work by Oklahoma-based artist David Eric Morrison. Morrison is known for expressive and figurative portraits with his unique style of combining primitive and formalistic elements.  This collection reads like a series of visual letters — small, storm-soaked dispatches sent from the edge of memory, grief and survival. Each portrait is a kind of correspondence: to the self, to ghosts both literal and emotional, to the moments we carry long after they’ve passed.
