Fiber artists Agnes Stadler and Elizabeth Richards created this series of art quilts as an experiment with color, scale, and pattern.  Their chosen motif “Stripes”, opens possibilities for interpretations. Unique selections, including hand dyed and re-purposed fabrics, machine and hand stitching, as well as a mixture of traditional and original designs result in bold, structured, and expressive compositions. The pieces become a dialogue between the artists, reflecting shared ideas, as well as individual creative voices. This exhibit invites the viewers to immerse themselves in the world of art quilts, while enjoying a whirlwind of colorful expression and graphic appeal.
