Pieces & Poems is the latest body of work by Sara Whitehead, an emerging artist, therapeutic art group owner and psychotherapist in private practice in Oklahoma City. Her work invites viewers to slow down and really look, rewarding curiosity with layers of meaning, humor, and emotional resonance. Using abstraction, color, & simplicity, Whitehead is inspired to paint what she feels, the hidden secrets of my unconscious, & the images she receives from her dreams with the intention to make meaning of life & to bring a depth of understanding to her experiences.

Pieces & Poems consists of paintings, drawings, assemblage, sculpture, & poetry and each art piece has a companion poem that is often displayed in a sculptural way.
