Scenes for a Film is a collection of paintings that highlights all the hallmarks of old Western movies. Scenes involving a stagecoach robbery, a posse chase, a romance, betrayal and redemption are displayed as still frames to simulate the full effect of a movie. "Now showing in color!”

Clayton Beavers is a painter from Oklahoma City, focusing on Western narrative and imagery. Often his work tells a story; sometimes his work simply captures a feeling- but the inspiration is always the intersection of philosophy and cowboys.
