This work is from the series Metamorphic Apertures. Inspired by the improvised photographs sourced from the artist's walks throughout nature, this series examines transitional states within the natural world as reflections of our own everchanging perceptions. The process of refining, altering, and laying out the dust embodies the concept of how our perceptions undergo a similar transformation, as well as the susceptibility of these perceptions to change within an active environment.

"Bridge" is a photograph of a bridge which had been fully constructed but had yet to have been installed. As a person-made point of transition, bridges are the connections between divided spaces. The bridge depicted extends forward towards the viewer, inviting them to travel from the outer illustrative realm of abstracted ideas to the inner photographic realm of echoed history.
