As an artist, three of my favorite mediums are photography, painting, and printmaking. Panhandle No. 1, 2, and 3 represent a combination of all of those mediums under the primary umbrella of printmaking. These prints are pulled from my original photographs and most of the colors are hand-painted rather than rolled before being transferred from the plate. The interplay of shadow and light and the volume of detail in the original photographs made this set a particular challenge, albeit a fun one, to create.
