I remember collecting insects during my sophomore year in high school for my Biology I class. I pinned the collection to styrofoam and labeled each one. For this work I used French knots to depict the pins I used in the school project. Combining the scientific curiosity of my youth with the colorful fabric cyanotype prints captures the wonder and detail that can be found in nature and sweet memories.
